Adding an External Video

Vidigami allows Managers and Admins to add external videos into Vidigami using links from the following platforms:

  • Youtube
  • Vimeo

Users can distinguish videos from photos using the indicators displayed on content thumbnails in an album. This indicator includes the video host name (e.g. Vimeo), and the duration of the video. Users can also filter content in albums by photos or videos by changing the sort drop down from All Types to Videos or Photos.

Adding an external video

In the Album page, select the Import External Video button located at the right-hand corner of the header.

This will open an Insert External Video modal with an empty link field. Copy the share link of a video from YouTube or Vimeo, paste the link into the empty field and select Verify.

If the link is accepted, you will be able to review the video information:

  • Thumbnail*
  • Title*
  • Duration
  • Taken at Date*
  • Description* (pulled from the YouTube or Vimeo description)

(Note: information labeled with * can be edited at a later time).

Once completed, select Submit to insert the video.
